The room was clean and comfortable, which was ideal for our family of four, especially given my husband's height-he appreciated the spacious shower. One evening, we enjoyed some lovely pub meals; I opted for the steak pie, while my husband had the game pie. It was homemade and quite hearty-perfect after a day exploring the North York Moors. Speaking of which, we took advantage of the excellent cycling terrain available for families. The kids had a blast cycling through the forests, and the visitor centre provided helpful tips on where to go. The breakfast was noteworthy-definitely one of the best I've experienced, with excellent quality ingredients. The staff were friendly, and the atmosphere made it easy for us to relax with locals and other visitors. Plus, being close to Danby National Park Center added to the appeal. A great choice for families seeking a welcoming environment.
